Year 3 had the pleasure of a surprise visitor this week. Olympic gold medal winner Steven Burke returned to his old primary school to talk to the children about his achievements. Year 3 invited Steven as they are currently studying biographies. They had initially arranged to interview Steven’s mum, Sharon, as they knew Steven was busy training. However, instead she brought along her son!  Steven managed to take a break and was keen to return to his old school.

The class had prepared questions to ask Steven about his Olympic success. He also brought his gold medal in a special box. Steven had his photograph taken with the children outside the golden gates of our school that was painted in his honour.

Look out for our class biographies when we have finished!
