All this week, the Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children, and other children from key workers lucky enough to be allowed to return to school, have been cycling every day accumulating massive mileage for Park Primary.

It’s been a cycling craze (in conjunction with the Virtual 3K Pendle Pedal being promoted) this week across all schools in Pendle – Visit Pendle SSP facebook page or www.pendlessp.com

Our kids have absolutely ‘grabbed the bull by the horns’ and have cycled daily building up a great collective distance.  From Mr Farry’s rough early estimates, we’re beyond 50 miles already this week.

An amazing effort from the kids but also the staff have been getting involved too.  Mr Thompson has been doing his daily exercise before starting his work shift cycling a few miles around Colne each morning.  Also Mrs Mitchell has been putting the kids to shame in Year 6, it eventually rubbed off and her Year 6 bubble are well motivated to beat her time and distance!

Thank you to all the parents for letting the children bring their bicycles to school this week, it’s been a great help and the children have loved showing off their skills!
