After a hectic and exhausting week (for poor Mr Farry and his blistering hands) doing the Year 6 Bird Box project, the children have finally put all their pieces together and produce 60+ bird boxes which they get to take home and put in their very own garden.  They have all worked really hard to ensure they got their product finished on time before the end of half term – and it’s so apparent from the pictures that the children have not only loved doing the project but actually excelled in some of the more practical D&T key skills.  It was lovely to see some of the children (who may sometimes struggle with the day to day routine of English and Maths) transform into confident, helpful and happy characters! We have definitely found some carpenters/joiners to keep Colne ticking over in the near future…
