Today, the children from Key Stage One have enjoyed some number work using cubes. They used them to show ways of making 10, then used the cubes to see which different shapes they could make. Before lunch, we managed some phonics and chose a book to read. We enjoyed a game of snakes and ladders outside followed by some literacy work on the Gingerbread Man.

Meanwhile, the Kay Stage Two children were set challenges using playing cards and dominoes. Step up Tyler Davies, our champion problem solver. We then set about making comprehension cards for the Key Stage 2 children to use. After a delicious lunch – thank you Tish and Louise – the afternoon was spent manning the reading cafe and making paper boats.
